AFSC will be busy in the south.

Regional Crop Insurance Manager, Doug Dueck says the extent of damage is yet unkown with unseeded or flooded crops in southern Alberta but AFSC is mobilizing it's forces.  Dueck says claims for unseeded acres are automatically filed with a land report.  "Once we've dealt with the unseeded claim, and clients should be careful that we've dealt with that first or a pre harvest situation with flooded acres, and once adjustors have dealt with that situation, clients are absolutely free to put in a late crop, either a cover crop or a feed crop and that's no problem whatsoever".
Dueck says time will tell with the latest heat giving some a chance for some flooded acres to dry out and recover.
