The Drumheller Gymnastics Club and the Town of Drumheller are teaming up to bring the first ever Sports and Recreation Expo to Drumheller.
The Expo will be on Wednesday, September 1st at the Dinosaur Downs Stampede Facility, the home of the gymnastics club. This is a free event with the intent to encourage all sports and recreation clubs to come out and showcase what they have to offer, in a trade show style booth set up. Organizations will be able to put on demonstrations, as well as provide useful information to whoever is interested.
Past Presidents of the Drumheller Gymnastics Club, and Seniors Coordinator for the Town of Drumheller Cathy Smoliak was instrumental in teaming up the Town with the Gymnastics Club to bring the Expo to Drumheller, and says this is a chance for all sports and rec groups to come together and promote what they have to offer. " Basically, this is a trade show setting, allowing all sports and recreation groups to come out and promote what they are all about, conduct a demonstration, and if they like, take club registration. For the community, its an opportunity to come out and see whats available within the community, participate in a demonstration, and take advantage of registering for all the great activities we have in our community."
The event is open to anyone who wants to promote their sports team or rec group. For more information and to register for this event, you can contact Judy with Community Services at 403-823-1324, or visit the Town of Drumheller website, at www.dinosaurvalley.com.
