(Negotiations will continue on February 8.)
The CN Rail line has been unused for some time, and with the Province, and private sector passing it remains available for purchase.
Municipality's along the rail line could retain the right of way, and then enter into use agreements with the private sector. A conference call will be held on February 8, with Drumheller, Starland, and Wheatland county.
Negotiations include a land evaluation, for insurance and tax purposes. It also features an engineering review of the CN Bridge report.
The purchase of the line will have a significant impact on the economic development in the region.
