UPDATE: We have been provided an update to the incident in Delia on Saturday, June 14th.
On June 14th, 2025 Drumheller RCMP responded to a complaint of a possible impaired driver in the village of Delia that had made threats to a member of the community. Police attended and spoke with the suspect male, but he resisted arrest and retreated to his residence. Police attempted to have the suspect exit the house, but he made repeated threats to harm the members. The emergency response team was called and the male was eventually arrested.
37 year old Justin Hansen of Delia, AB has been arrested and charged with the following offenses:
- Uttering Threats x 2
- Resisting arrest
Hansen was brought before a Justice of the peace and was remanded into custody. Hansen has since been released and is scheduled to attend court in Drumheller on July 18, 2025.

At just after 8 PM on Saturday, June 14th, Drumheller RCMP advised the residents of Delia of a heavy police presence in the Village of Delia. There was no immediate risk to the public.
They asked people to avoid the area and not post the actions of police on social media, as it may have posed a threat to police and public safety.
At 12:15 AM Sunday, June 15th, Drumheller RCMP advised the public that the police event in the Village of Delia has been resolved. One suspect has been arrested and there is no danger to the public.
An update is anticipated once more information becomes available or if charges have been laid.
