A big event every year for Drumheller A & W and A & W across the country is Burgers To Beat MS, which took place on Thursday, August 21st.
As part of Burgers To Beat MS, the Drumheller location held a number of extra events to increase the focus on the fundraising efforts for the MS Society. Sean Armstrong, Manager of Drumheller A & W shares that they had a great day this year for the event. “It was much better compared than last year. For breakfast we had lovely weather and for the evening show, with everything going on, it was great. Couldn’t have asked for any better.”
They hosted a pancake breakfast on Thursday from 7 to 11 AM and then had music and classic cars on hand for the evening, which also included live music. All of these events help to raise a good amount of money notes Armstrong. “At the end of the day, our final total was $3,300. The big portion of that came from the evening event. A big shout out to the Valley Cruisers, everybody that came, local and non-local, and The Garage Band for putting on a great performance.”
Plans are already in the works for Burgers To Beat MS for 2026 but Armstrong can see a few changes ahead for next year. “I think we are going to make some small changes. I think there are better areas we can focus on and move around the day to make it less hectic for everybody involved. Overall, what we’ve started and what we’ve been continuing on will be our game plan moving forward.”
