When the new development started earlier this year along Highway 9 South there were many different rumours as to what businesses will be in the building.
One that had been rumoured most predominantly was Kentucky Fried Chicken and the rumours have turned out to be true with new signage on the fence in front of the development. The company that is opening the local franchise is Hi-Flyer Food Canada out of Calgary. The company operates 88 KFC and KFC/Taco Bell restaurants in Alberta and Manitoba. They have been in existence since 2012.
We have reached out to the franchisee for an interview but have not received a response as of yet.
Kentucky Fried Chicken was in Drumheller over 25 years ago along Highway 9 in conjunction with a Shell Gas Station, across from Valley Esso.
As for the other businesses expected in the new building, rumours persist with no confirmation as of yet.
