Just before Christmas, some exciting news came from the team at the Drumheller Aquaplex as the long awaited reopening of the hot tub took place.
The hot tub has been stymied with issues for over a year and the staff continued to get questions on when the tub would reopen. There were a number of steps to get through so that the hot tub could reopen for the public to use, including a new installation within the existing hot tub area, shoring up the surge tank under the current pool deck, as well as replacing and sealing the new pool deck where the repairs had to take place.
The hot tub is now fully operational. The Town of Drumheller has advised that they are waiting for a part for the piping for the air system (jets) of the hot tub. The company that installed the new refurbished hot tub, Pinnacle, anticipates the part to arrive next week. Once the part arrives, they will need to close the hot tub for approximately three days for installation. The installation will only affect the hot tub, not the main pool, which will remain open.
