There have been rumours of a new store opening in the former Fields location in the Hanna Mall, adjacent to Freson Bros.
The rumours can now be confirmed as Dollarama will be opening a new location in Hanna. We reached out to Dollarama and Lyla Radmanovich, Media Relations with Dollarama confirms that the company intends to open a new store at this location this summer. “We look forward to bringing our broad assortment of everyday and seasonal products at compelling value as well as our consistent shopping experience to the community.”
This will bring the number of locations in our area to three, including stores in Three Hills and Drumheller. There has also been job opportunity listings posted for the new store already.
Mayor Danny Povaschuk notes that it is great to see a business of this size opening in Hanna. “We are super pumped. It is going to be a great replacement for Fields. Unfortunately Fields left and Dollarama will be a great fit for our community.”
Construction continues and a precise date of when the store intends to open has not yet been released.
