Last week it was announced that there were some changes when it comes to ownership of Western GM in Drumheller.
Doug Lubinski shared that Sales Manager Brad LeDrew and Salesperson Mike Bell have both signed on to be partners in Western GM. Lubinski notes that it makes sense to do this right now. “I’m 65 years old. I’ve worked with these guys for enough years that I know that we can work together and having them as partners is a great fit.”
For LeDrew, he agrees with Lubinski that it is indeed a great fit. “I would be lying if I didn’t say that I absolutely love the community I’m in. I’ve been volunteering for years here, with hockey, soccer, and badminton. The community has given me and my family a lot. Western has always been a wonderful place that takes care of our community. I’m very happy to be part of the ownership.”
Mike Bell has been part of the fabric of Western GM since he was in high school so it also made perfect sense for him to be a partner. “I started to washing cars here in high school and transitioned into sales a little later in life once I figured out this is where I wanted to be. We’ve been here forever and I just couldn’t see this place without us moving forward. I am really happy that Doug decided to include us and we’re here to give it 110 percent.”
Mike and Brad were joking that they can now approve Doug’s vacation time but essentially there will be no real changes. Western GM will remain locally owned. “That was our goal,” comments Bell. “We really wanted to keep it a local dealership and Doug wanted to make that to happen. We didn’t want to sell to a big conglomerate. It is going to work great for everybody.”
Stop in and congratulate the new partners
