We have a million dollar winner in the Drumheller Valley.
Reg (Robert) Gallagher won $1 million on Lotto 6/49. Gallagher stopped at a gas station on his way out for supper when he checked his ticket.
“I couldn’t believe it!” he said. “I checked it twice and then gave it to the cashier to check it as well!”
Gallagher texted his son to share the news.
“He couldn’t believe it either!” Gallagher laughed.
Now, the Drumheller winner said he’s ready to save the windfall for a rainy day.
“I want to live on it,” he said. “I’m going to put it into savings and investments for now.”
Gallagher purchased his winning LOTTO 6/49 ticket from Mobil at 1252 Highway 9S in Drumheller. He won his prize in the April 22 Gold Ball Draw by matching the selection: 32354638-01, a white ball.
