The work has been extensive in the indoor pool at the Drumheller Aquaplex in the repair of the hot tub, which affected the use of the indoor pool.
Although there is some finishing work yet to do on the hot tub and pool deck, the indoor pool reopened to the public on Saturday, October 4th. Erica Crocker, Communications Officer with the Town of Drumheller, shares that they are excited to welcome the public back to the indoor pool. “We are very, very excited to be getting our swimmers back into the doors and we are working through some construction while that’s going so there will be some interesting accommodations that will be set up. At the end of the day, we want people to get back in the water.”
As for the hot tub, the major work has been completed and there are just some finishing details that are currently being completed. There is no specific date on when the hot tub will reopen but it is “sooner rather than later”.
With the kids being out of school, the Aquaplex understands the kids are looking for something to do. With that in mind, they have added a number of public swims and thrifty swims to the weekly calendar. Stay updated on the Town of Drumheller’s website or visit the Drumheller Aquaplex Facebook page.
