This weekend one of the most anticipated shows that comes to Stampede Park every March is back again this year, World of Wheels.
It is a great showcase of classic cars and new innovations, with so much more. This includes the pin-up girls from True North Pin-Up. Keri Looijen loves being part of such a great show and shares what she and her team will be involved in. “At World of Wheels, we typically go every single year. I host the pin-up contest and the greaser boys contest. We are there all weekend. This year the Valley Cruisers are going to be there and doing a full display.”
Looijen confirms that they will be garnering interest in the Boogie in the Badlands, which comes later in May. “We are there for photo opportunities, talking about the valley, and why everybody should come to our car show at the end of May.”
The girls involved with True North Pin-up absolutely love being involved in the car show events throughout the year, admits Looijen. “We love to go to car shows. We are kind of like the ‘sparkle’ that comes. World of Wheels is usually the kickoff for our season. We prep all winter for it. Last year, our queen brought a cardboard boat on stage and wore this cute little nautical outfit, so I am really excited to see what the girls bring this year.”
The crew from True North will also be involved again with Boogie In The Badlands later this May. “We will be doing ‘Queen of the Badlands’ again.” shares Looijen. “Lady Lovely is our defending queen, she will be here to hand over her crown, and crown the next ‘Queen of the Badlands’.”
Tickets for World of Wheels this weekend can be purchased at Auto Value in Drumheller or at the door. To learn more about True North Pin-Up, visit their Facebook page or their website.
