On Thursday morning (April 30th), the students of Drumheller Valley Secondary School (DVSS) gathered in the gymnasium for one of the most anticipated events of the school year, their cake auction.
The graduating class of DVSS held their auction and it always is a strong fundraiser for them. 2026 would be no different. The final numbers are in and 2,126 dollars was raised for the grad class. The auctioneer this year was Principal Ryan Hatch from Carbon School and he had the bids coming in fast and furious. Many of the kids pool their money together to purchase the cakes and cupcakes. This year, DVSS offered an online option for those that could not attend the auction but wanted to support the grad class.
