Emergency crews were called to the Midland neighbourhood on Friday afternoon as a residential home was on fire.
Drumheller Fire and Rescue, Drumheller RCMP, EMS, Drumheller Municipal Enforcement and local utilities attended the scene in the 100 block of 16th Street Northwest at about 2:30pm. When firefighters arrived, the home was fully engulfed. From all accounts all that reside in the home made it out safely, including the animals. Fire crews had the fire under control very quickly. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
