Throughout Drumheller you may have noticed a few recycling bins that have a BAC to BAC logo on them. Proceeds from the bottles and cans recycled in these bins goes to help area charities.
The program is Bottles and Cans, Benefiting Area Charities and is operated and collected by the Drumheller Bottle Depot, which is operated by the Drumheller And Region Transition Society (D.A.R.T.S.). This year, over $3,000 was raised and the proceeds are going to four local charities. The charities involved are The Salvation Army, the Morgan Jayne Project, the Drumheller and District Humane Society, and D.A.R.T.S..
In a statement shared by the Drumheller Bottle Depot, they share thanks to the generosity of our community, more than $3,000 was raised this past year through bottle and can donations. Donations are collected year-round at the Drumheller Bottle Depot as well as through BAC to BAC bins located throughout the community. The BAC2BAC mission is to create an easy and convenient way for Drumheller residents to support local charities and help the environment by donating recyclable containers in bins located around town. BAC to BAC is a collaboration between four registered Charities. The Salvation Army, The Morgan Jane Children’s Foundation, D.A.R.T.S and the Drumheller Humane Society.
