On July 23, 2026, at 2:08 p.m., Consort RCMP were dispatched to a 911 call for an erratic driver travelling on highway 12 near Veteran, Alta. The driver of a Dodge Ram was believed to be chasing another vehicle, in attempts to ram it off the road.
Police quickly responded and conducted a traffic stop with the driver of the Dodge Ram. As a result, 46-year-old Jeromy Hoff, a resident of Compeer, Alta, was arrested.
Hoff was charged with the following:
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle;
- Assault with a weapon ( X 2);
- Assault causing bodily harm.
Following a Judicial Interim Release (JIR) Hearing, Jeromy Hoff was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in the Alberta Court of Justice in Coronation on Aug. 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
