On Saturday afternoon two bundled up, rosy-cheeked kids, with shovels in hand, and smiles on their faces rang our doorbell and offered to shovel our walk.
They are none other than Skyler and Mackenzie Vogel, the kids of Tanya and James Vogel.
These little Snow Angels made our day and our sidewalk was shoveled perfectly.
My husband and I were so happy to give them a donation to their cause. They are saving for a trip with their family.
I messaged Tanya to thank the kids again and asked what trip they were saving for? and she replied, "They've been talking about going to Disneyland for a while now."
We wished we could've given them more because they did such a great job.
The Vogel family is struggling right now. Many trips to hospitals outside Drumheller, because James is now going for dialysis and that does put a strain on the monthly budget, which doesn't give them a chance to save up for such a much-needed trip.
I hope the kids raised some money that day and that their dreams of going to Disneyland become a reality, one sidewalk at a time.
So if you see these kids out there and they offer to shovel your walk, any kind of donation would be welcomed.
Great job Skyler and Mackenzie thank you for being such Angels in our community!!
