The streets of Downtown Drumheller were filled with princesses, super heroes, and villains last night on the hunt for the best candy in town.
Of course, DrumFM was there handing out some sunglasses and fidget spinners, and partaking in the Halloween fun. There were costumes that were so cute my heart melted a little bit, and somethat did give me a good scare.
One of the craziest parts of the night was watching Jason Blanke interview a group of girls dressed up as a hockey team, and have a huge creature emerge from the shadows of the alley they were standing in front of. It was like something out of a Halloween movie, as the creature towered over us and walked by with a giant-like demeanor.
Another highlight was the "Nightmare before Halloween" Haunted Hallway at Dry Canyon Collectibles and The Faux Den, which took you on a winding adventure with scenes from the movie "Nightmare before Christmas."
It included a huge Jack Skellington robot and live characters. The tour ended with a row of Christmas Trees, giving a glimpse into the holiday just a couple of months away.
Many business downtown were swarmed with kids, but thanks to previous experiences and lots of planning, most were prepared with many bulk sized boxes of candy.
It was great to see all of the kids and the costumes. Some people are quite creative. Hope your Halloween was a great one!!!!
