A joint team between Hanna and Drumheller has just wrapped up their season.

The Badland Bandits is a spring club team coached by Ron Davies, who teaches at J.C Charyk in Hanna.

"It's just a club team, a U13 team. We had four kids from J.C Charyk school, three kids from DVSS, two kids from St. Anthony's and two kids from Greentree School," explained Davies. "I had one kid in grade 5, one in grade 6, three kids in grade 8 and the rest in grade 7."

The club season finished this past weekend with the Badland Bandits winning all games in the two tournaments they attended.

The Bandits practice one day a week in Hanna and one day a week in Drumheller.

"(It's) just a spring thing, they'll play at their particular schools for the regular season during winter. I saw all these kids play and kind of talked to their parents and said 'let's do a little club program in the spring to try and develop the kids for the fall'," Davies outlined.

So, will the team come together again next spring?

"We will see what happens next spring. Next year is the summer games year, I might be looking at coaching the team for the summer games in our zone so we will see what happens."
