Drumheller FunTeam Hockey Club’s Intermediate Hurricanes & Olds Intermediate Grizzlys faced off at the Red Deer Centrium on Saturday Feb. 3 2018 for the Annual Alberta RecTeam Intermediate All-Star Game.

Olds Grizzlys lit up the goal light first a quick nine minutes into the first period to take a 1-0 lead. The lead was short-lived with the Hurricanes tieing the game soonafter with 5:10 remaining in the period.

59 seconds into the second period Olds pulled ahead 2-1; 21 seconds later Drumheller tied the game again.

At the 12:18 mark of the second period, the Drumheller Hurricanes scored a go-ahead goal to make it 3-2 and took their first lead of the game.

In the third period, it was all Hurricanes as they pulled ahead with three unanswered goals to win the annual event 6-2.

Coaching staff Scott Denis, Joe Rowbottom & Mark Coultes could not be more proud of the team. It was true team effort with a solid team performance from goaltending to defense to offense!

Drumheller's Nathan Olbrich took home the game’s Most Sportsmanlike Player honour, as did Old’s Julianna Adair.

Overall, a very productive (and fun!) day at this years Centrium games!
