The Drumheller Dragons took to the ice on the Thanksgiving weekend in Okotoks. This is the second time in Okotoks this season and Drumheller was hoping for the same result as last game.
Okotoks scored early on in the first period when Zane Kindrachuk scored 1:14 into the game to give the Oilers a 1-0 lead. Drumheller got that back at the 7:13 mark when Jordan Taupert scored his fourth on the year from Brett Edwards and Alex Rotundo to tie the game 1-1 after one.

In the second, Dylan Holloway from the Oilers, scored to give Okotoks the 2-1 lead. Midway through the period, the Dragons got a power play opportunity and capitalized. Roc Truman scored his third of the year from a nice set up by his brother Scout Truman. Drumheller got their first lead of the hockey game at 16:28 when Brayden Nicholetts scored his fifth on the season from Garrett Johnson and Jordan Taupert. The second period would end with the Dragons leading 3-2.

Okotoks came out in the third looking to tie the game. They did so at the 5:50 mark when Gibb Coady scored by finding a rebound in front of Hunter Virostek, Drumheller regained the lead 28 seconds later on a hard drive to the net by Markus Boguslavsky. He scored his second of the season to give the Dragons the 4-3 lead. Okotoks tried to tie the game once again but it would not happen. Jordan Taupert would find the empty net with seven seconds left in the game. Drumheller would win 5-3.
