Your Dragons took to the road on Tuesday night to face the Calgary Canucks.  This is only the second time these two teams have met this year with four more games remaining between them.

If you look at the standings, these two teams are on the opposite sides of the spectrum.  Calgary in seventh place with a record of 6-34-1 and Drumheller in third with a record of 24-14-2.  The game did not play out like that on Tuesday.

The Dragons opened up the scoring on the power play when Kaden Hanas scored his fifth goal of the year from Markus Boguslavsky and Brett Edwards at 7:57.  The Dragons increased their lead with 6:15 left in the period when Roc Truman scored his fifteenth of the year from Kaden Hanas and Brett Edwards.  A two goal lead in hockey is always the hardest to keep and that was true tonight.  Calgary got one back with 4:44 left in the first when Jackson Verstraete scored to make it 2-1 Drumheller.  The Canucks added another just over two minutes later when Justin Giacomin scored to tie the game at two after the first.

Calgary took their first lead in the second period when Dylan Clark scored on the power play at 4:03 to make it 3-2 Canucks.  The Dragons tied the game with 10:20 left to go when Brady Risk scored his seventeenth on the season from Roc Truman and Dylan McCabe.  Drumheller retook the lead 25 seconds later when Eric Martin scored his fourth of the year from Scout Truman and Hassan Akl.  Calgary tied it only 21 seconds later on the power play when Nic Herringer scored to make it 4-4 after two periods.

Not sure what was said in the dressing room between the second and third but the Dragons said enough was enough. At 6:01, Roc Truman scored his second of the game and sixteenth on the season from Scout Truman and Markus Boguslavsky to make it 5-4 Drumheller.  The Dragons added another at 16:56 when Brett Edwards scored his nineteenth from Brady Risk and Roc Truman.  With 41 seconds left, Scout Truman scored his fifth of the year on the power play from Shane Ott and Eric Martin to make the final score 7-4 Dragons.
