It's been a busy summer for Dinosaur Trail Golf and Country Club as people take advantage of the warm weather to hit the fairways and greens.
 
The club tournament season started with the annual Mixed Open on Saturday, July 21.
 
"It was great. We had 98 people, which was fantastic. It was a super busy day with great weather. We had a great DJ that played 'Name That Tune' with all the groups. It was a great day for everybody," explained head pro and course general manager Phil McClusky.
 
"It's just one of the events that we do out here," he added. "It's a very relaxed event and it's a lot of fun."
 
The overall champions were Zac Weiss and Courtney Dickson. Taylor Colberg won the low net.
 
This past Saturday, July 28 the course hosted the annual Club Championship.Wes Chung had the low gross, while Hans Waiboer was low net in the Mens competition. Heather Swallow shot the Womens' low gross, while Cheryl Richen had low net.The Seniors low gross went to Randy Rutz; Tom Fournier was low net. Bernie Wade had the lowest score in the Super Seniors category, while George Cels had low net. Low gross in the Juniors competition was shot by Dayln Ostapowich.
 
Next up for Dinosaur Trail Golf are the Mens and Ladies Opens August 18-19 and the Long Drive Championship on the 18th.
