Some changes have been made for the very first Lunch and Learn Series through the Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce.
The changes made were to the date and location, which was originally February 21 at the Cretaceous Conference Centre. Now, the Oilwell Drilling series will be on March 21 at the Badlands Community Facility, with the same times from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
"We had a lot of people that wanted to attend, but with that Holiday Monday being the day before and a lot of people's kids being off of school that week, we had a lot of people that were interested in coming, but just couldn't make it. We just thought March 21 would be a better date and easier for those who wanted to attend," explained Marley Henneigh with the Drumheller Chamber.
For those who are interested in attending the first series, tickets are still available.
The first Lunch and Learn Series will have Mark Scholtz, President of the Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors, coming to speak.
"We have lots of tickets to sell, but we do need them to be purchased before March 17 because we will be ordering lunch for everybody," Henneigh mentioned.
Something new that was added to the Lunch and Learn series is that the Chamber is giving the public the opportunity to express what they want to see these series be about.
"We have a couple topics determined for the Lunch and Learn Series. The Oilwell one being the first obviously and then our next one is going to be Google for Business, but had a bunch of topics suggested to us and we're looking for some input from the community on what you want to learn about. It helps us to make sure that they're of value to everybody with what topics they want to learn on," Henneigh outlined.
"We have the link for our survey on our Facebook page, Drumheller Chamber, and I will go throw the link on our Chamber website as well."
