There was high praise from the community from the Picnic in the Park event held last week on June 6th.
Drum FM ran into Lisa Thomas today, who had nothing but good things to say about The Family Fun Commitee's event.
"The games were really hands on, it was wonderful to play with your children. The face painting was wonderful. The lady was so outgoing, the pictures turned out great. It was good for special needs. It was good for all ages," praised Thomas.
The day had 28 families register, with many more just showing up to the event. The event wasn't all about fun and games, as it also gave education on how to deal with tough family matters.
"They brought a lot helpful tips on how make dysfunctional families work together and communicate better with one another," said Thomas.
Thomas was over the moon about the event, and enjoyed being able to enjoy quality time with her son.
"I love them all. All the volunteers were really friendly and helpful. They all had really great stratagies to offer." continued Thomas.
The Family Fun Commitee is preparing for their free family event which will be an outside movie showing next month.
