The Drumheller Legion has some new board members.

Taking over for Past-President Burt Cote is President Deb Bolduc. 1st Vice President is Gary Boucher, 2nd Vice went to Glen Thomas, and Secretary is Bill Eremko.

President Bolduc explains more on the election process.

"You are nominated, and then, of course, it is the same as any other election, if there is nobody running against you, you are acclaimed. But if there are more people for the position, then we have an election, which we had in December. Now they will be installed," she explained.

The instalment night was on Friday, January 4 and included a meat draw and a wing night.

The Legion is looking to keep busy this coming year with some new events.

"We are actually thinking, at the end of March, a kids karaoke day," continued Bolduc.

She went on to say that the date will be set to a Saturday evening in March, and will be open to children ages 6-13.

"And also, we have the provincial convention that we are hosting Mother's Day weekend," she concluded.
