The Fieldhouse at the Badlands Community Facility and the Co-Op Mall were jam-packed this weekend as the Christmas Market came to Drumheller.
The market boasted 60 vendors at the BCF and upwards of 40 at Co-Op Mall who brought baked goods, homemade ornaments for the Christmas tree, oils, soaps, clothing and much, much more.
Louise O'Brien, Farmers Market Manager, explains why it's such an exciting time for the vendors to be out, showing their items off during the Christmas season. The BCF Christmas Market
"They all get excited with the big markets likes July first or Christmas because they get to bring more of their stuff out. More of their hand-made stuff out. People love hand-made things at Christmas time."
"We bird feeders, arts, ice and fire and baking," O'Brien chuckled. "Lots of baking."
The Christmas Market at the BCF ends today at 4:00 PM. The Co-Op market was one day only on Saturday, December 1.
"It takes a lot of work and Dianne Snyder drives the majority of the work here. She arranges the market and put the vendors into place to make sure we have a good market," explained David Friesen who helped in the organization of the Co-Op Mall Christmas Market.
