The Village of Delia will be without water for a period of time tonight, so residents may want to prepare in advance.

"We have a water project going on right now. We are doing a lot of upgrades and expansion to our water plants. So as a part of that, they have to turn the water off to do some re-piping and stuff," explained Delia CAO Mark Nikota.

"It will be off tonight starting at midnight, and it should be back up in a few hours after but I would say no later than 5:00 am."

If a tap is turned on during the middle of the night, very little water pressure will come out of the faucet. Nikota suggests taking some precautions if you know you will need to use water during that time.

"If someone wants to put a pitcher of water in their fridge in case they need something in the middle of the night. But certainly, not trying to clothes or dishes with programmable dishwashers or that kind of thing, they probably won't work too well. Try not to use water in the middle of the night because you won't have any," continued Burke.
