The Heart To Heart Society has been helping Drumheller and area for the past 25 years and with the funds raised at their fundraising event, the support for our community will continue.
The Heart To Heart 25th Annual Walk-A-Thon took place at on the walking track at the Badlands Community Facility on Wednesday, April 15th. A good number of participants volunteered to walk once again and also collected pledges for the cause. A great group from the Valley Cruisers helped the cause by doing a number of laps and raising funds.
It was another successful event as over $13,000 was raised. This year the funds are earmarked for purchasing Vital Signs Machines at the Drumheller Health Centre. In the past 25 years, the Heart To Heart Society has provided things like treadmills, defibrillators, portable ultrasound, along with supporting the “Grow Your Own” program at the Drumheller Health Centre, in conjunction with the University of Calgary and Alberta Health Services.
