On May 29, 2026, Oyen RCMP initiated an investigation regarding suspicious financial transactions that occurred within a local non-profit organization. After a lengthy investigation, former Cactus Gym Club president Michelle Hutton (42), a resident of Altario, Alta., was arrested and charged with the following:
- Fraud over $5000
- Theft over $5000
Hutton was released to appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Hanna on Sept. 23, 2026.
