Once again this year, a number of businesses in the downtown core participated in the community Trick or Treating.
3rd Avenue and Centre Street were closed off to traffic for a portion of Saturday afternoon and evening. The weather was nearly perfect as the temperatures were hovering around the freezing mark and with the great temperatures came the families out to participate.
With the streets closed off to traffic, it made lots of room for all the little ghouls and goblins to fill up their candy bags full of treats. According to Patti Richardson of Rustic Chic Flowers & Gifts, they saw between 900 and 1,000 trick or treaters on Saturday.
With the numbers downtown, that did affect the amount of trick or treaters that stopped by the homes in the residential areas of Drumheller. For example, in Upper Midland they saw around 25 or 30 kids depending on the house.
Lots of chocolate, candy, and treats to be eaten over Halloween.
